HR Coil

At Vardhman Alloys, we take pride in offering premium quality HR Coils (Hot Rolled Coils) that meet diverse industrial requirements. Our HR Coils are produced using advanced hot rolling technology, ensuring superior strength, durability, and performance. The manufacturing process begins with the careful selection of high-grade steel billets or blooms, which are heated in a furnace to a temperature above their recrystallization point. This heating process makes the steel malleable and easy to shape.

Our HR Coils are known for their rough surface finish and are less precise in dimensions compared to cold rolled steel. However, they offer excellent mechanical properties, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. These include construction, where they are used in structural components, steel frames, and reinforcing bars. In the automotive industry, HR Coils are employed in the manufacturing of vehicle bodies and structural parts. They are also widely used in the production of various industrial equipment and machinery components, as well as in the energy sector for pipelines and storage tanks.

Working Process Of HR Coil

  • Raw Material Selection: High-grade steel billets or blooms are carefully chosen to ensure optimal quality, strength, and performance in the final product.
  • Heating: The selected steel billets or blooms are heated in a furnace to a temperature above their recrystallization point. This makes the steel malleable and easier to shape.
  • Rolling: The heated steel is passed through a series of rollers to reduce its thickness and shape it into coils. This hot rolling process is performed at high temperatures to maintain the steel's formability and structural integrity.
  • Cooling: After rolling, the steel is gradually cooled to set its final dimensions and prevent warping. This step is crucial for ensuring the stability and uniformity of the coils.
  • Coiling: The cooled steel is coiled into large rolls for ease of handling, transportation, and further processing. The coiled steel is ready for various industrial applications.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Each coil undergoes rigorous inspection and quality control checks to ensure it meets industry standards and customer specifications. This includes checking for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and mechanical properties.
  • Finishing: Depending on customer requirements, the HR coils may undergo additional finishing processes such as pickling, oiling, or coating to enhance their surface quality and protect against corrosion.
  • Packaging and Delivery: The finished HR coils are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transportation. They are then dispatched to customers, adhering to delivery schedules and logistical requirements.
